Applications open for the Western Australian Export Awards 2023

The McGowan Government is encouraging local exporters to apply for the Western Australian Export Awards 2023.

Now in its 35th year, the WA Export Awards celebrate exceptional local export talent and recognise the role export businesses play in boosting the State and national economies, and supporting thousands of jobs.

Exports of goods and services contributed more than $250 billion to the WA economy in 2021-22.

Thirteen award categories are open for application, showcasing the State's diverse range of exports.

WA exporters are encouraged to apply in one or more of these categories:

  • Advanced Technologies;
  • Agribusiness, Food and Beverages;
  • Creative Industries;
  • e-Commerce;
  • Emerging Exporter;
  • International Education and Training;
  • International Health;
  • Manufacturing and Advanced Materials;
  • Minerals, Energy and Related Services;
  • Professional Services;
  • Regional Exporter;
  • Small Business; or
  • Sustainability and Green Economy.

A gala dinner will be held in October to announce the winners, including the WA Exporter of the Year, and to celebrate the 35th year of the awards. All WA winners will progress to compete in the Australian Export Awards in Canberra in November.

WA exporters scooped awards in three categories at the 2022 Australian Export Awards including the:

  • 2GR Wagyu Beef - Agribusiness, Food and Beverages;
  • Stanley College - International Education and Training; and
  • Little Green Pharma - International Health
