These modular social homes are part of the McGowan Government's record $2.4 billion investment in housing and homelessness services throughout Western Australia, including the delivery of 3,300 social homes as well as maintenance and refurbishment to thousands more.

"Our Government is using every lever we can to bolster the supply of social housing across Western Australia.

"In the face of a heated construction market - we've sped up the delivery of social housing through a number of key reform programs including the timber frame and modular build programs.

"This Government established the Modular Build Program to provide an alternative pathway to get social housing out the door.

"We have contracted more than 90 modular homes to be delivered across regional WA with 13 to be delivered across the Goldfields region."

Comments attributed to Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent:

"The completion of two new modular social homes in Leonora follows the delivery of homes to Laverton and Kalgoorlie.

"The McGowan Government is listening and I'm grateful significant investments in social housing are being made across the Goldfields.

"This will no doubt provide a much-needed boost to house some of the most vulnerable members of our community."
