- Development application submitted for proposed screen production facility

The community is invited to have their say on the development application for Western Australia's first dedicated screen production facility.
The facility is proposed to be located along Marshall Road, to the south of Whiteman Park, and would provide purpose-built sound stages and other onsite screen production facilities to enable the production of film, TV and screen projects.
The development application has been submitted by Home Fire Creative Industries Pty Ltd, the preferred proponent as part of the active Market-led Proposal. The application includes architectural designs and technical reports for traffic, waste and bushfire management, and landscaping.
The Western Australian Planning Commission will consider the application as the proposed site is located within the recently approved Planning Control Area 174 - METRONET Bennett Springs North (Marshall Road).
This PCA will ensure the coordinated and strategic development of the land within this area to ensure proposals align with the purposes identified for the land.
If the Market-led Proposal is approved by the State Government, Home Fire will construct, operate and maintain the facility.
