Hosted by the Vietnamese Community in Australia WA Chapter, the annual Tet Festival is one of the State's most popular events and is attended by thousands eager to join the Vietnamese new year celebrations.

The McGowan Government is proud to support this year's Tet Festival with $65,000 through the Office of Multicultural Interests, Lotterywest and Healthway.

Tet Nguyên Dán, or the Festival of the First Morning of the First Day, is one of the most important celebrations for the Vietnamese community when families come together to usher in the new year.

This year marks the Year of the Cat, which according to the Vietnamese zodiac brings good luck and smooth sailing.
