Bookings to sponsor a Reconciliation Week street banner have now been extended to Friday 10 March 2023.

Banners will be displayed at more than 30 locations across the State during National Reconciliation Week 2023, which runs from 27 May to 3 June.

The banners will feature the sponsor's corporate logo and stunning artwork - Jartuti - by Martu artist, Beverley Rogers.

Beverley Rogers lives in the Punmu Community and is part of Martumili Artists, a collective of Martu artists living and working in the Pilbara region.

The Reconciliation Week Street Banner program is managed by Reconciliation WA and is supported by the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

Comments attributed to Aboriginal Affairs Minister Tony Buti:

"The Reconciliation Week street banners are a striking way to display community support for reconciliation, as well as presenting a significant opportunity for an emerging artist.

"During Reconciliation Week, hundreds of banners line the streets across many locations throughout the State and present a stunning visual demonstration of the importance of our shared histories, cultures and achievements.

"I encourage organisations and local governments to get on board and demonstrate their support for reconciliation by sponsoring a banner before 10 March."
