The Perth Scorchers turned up the heat in Perth today ahead of their Big Bash Grand Final on Saturday.

Hundreds of cricket fans and enthusiasts turned out to celebrate the Scorchers first home final in five years.

Deputy Premier and Tourism Minister Roger Cook joined the Scorchers' squad in Forrest Place ahead of this weekend's Grand Final.

The Scorchers will face off against the winner of the Challenger round at the award-winning Optus Stadium on Saturday 4 February in what is anticipated to be a sell-out event.

The first final the Scorchers hosted at the Stadium was just days after its official opening in 2018 where a crowd of 52,960 saw the Hobart Hurricanes advance to the 2017-18 BBL decider.

The Big Bash League (BBL) is Australia's premier domestic Twenty20 cricket competition.

The Western Australian Men's BBL team (the Scorchers) is the most successful team in BBL history, winning four championships to date and finishing runner-up on three occasions.
