Minister for Regional Development Alannah MacTiernan visited Carnarvon today to officially open a new commercial kitchen showcasing the Gascoyne food bowl's premier local produce.
Taste of Italy by Valeria is a delicatessen and catering business that provides Italian-influenced cuisine, serving breakfast and lunch options to the Carnarvon community.
The project was supported by the McGowan Government through the $45.8 million Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program, which aims to enhance economic development and job creation in regional Western Australia.
More than 45 new Gascoyne-based jobs have been created through investment in local businesses and community initiatives since RED Grants commenced in 2018.
