- Stage two of $9.86 million redevelopment at Dongara Health Service reaches completion
- Works include a complete refurbishment of the site's residential aged care facility
- Aged care patient capacity increased and new palliative care and staff support areas established
Stage two of the McGowan Government's $9.86 million redevelopment of Dongara Health Service is now complete.
This phase has seen the existing residential aged care facility - known locally as Blake House - increase from six to 12 beds.
A dedicated palliative care suite has also been established in line with the McGowan Government's commitment to ensuring that end-of-life and palliative care is centered on the individual needs of the person, their family, or carer.
This latest milestone follows the construction of a new ambulatory care unit at Dongara Health Service, as well as upgrades to existing ambulatory care facilities, patient flow improvements, new consult rooms, a child health room, staff amenities, and parking areas.
Stage three of the redevelopment is due to commence in late 2022.
