- The Architecture Group appointed for $6.3 million upgrade at Balga Senior High School
- Design work underway to deliver new performing arts facility and additional refurbished STEM classroom
Modern upgrades for Balga Senior High School are one step closer, with The Architecture Group appointed to design the new facilities.
The $6.3 million upgrade includes a new performing arts facility and refurbished STEM classroom.
The performing arts building will have a theatre, green room, servery and box office, staff study and associated stores and toilet facilities for staff, students and guests.
An existing classroom will be refurbished to provide an additional STEM facility with a lab, resources storage and 3D printer room.
The new facilities are expected to be ready to open in late 2024.
Balga Senior High School has more than 550 students from Year 7 to 12 and was founded in 1970.
The project is a McGowan Government election commitment, and will complement the new science area recently opened at the school.
