- Funding support for research projects with a focus on child and adolescent health in Western Australia
- The WA Child Research Fund is co-funded by the State Government and the Channel 7 Telethon Trust
The State's top researchers are being encouraged to apply for funding to advance research projects in improving the health of children and adolescents in Western Australia.
It's the 10th anniversary of the WA Child Research Fund, formerly known as the Telethon Perth Children's Hospital Research Fund, which was established in 2012 to fund health and medical research that focuses on the health of young people in WA.
This year, the program is offering up to $600,000 for research projects up to three years in duration, with funding to be awarded competitively based on merit.
Funding will be awarded to projects which may include research in areas of basic science, clinical medicine and science, health services research and public health.
Previously funded projects have had success in gaining significant national and international funding, improvements in health policy and practice, development of new treatments and therapies, and increased research capacity within the sector.
The WA Child Research Fund is co-funded by the McGowan Government and the Channel 7 Telethon Trust.
For more information on the program and how to apply, visit the Department of Health Website.
