Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has today officially opened the $17.8 million Treeby Primary School.
The new primary school facilities include a kindergarten/pre-primary classroom block with an associated playground, three general learning classroom blocks, a science and art classroom block and a library.
The school also provides spaces for students to play and learn outdoors with a covered assembly area, two hard courts, two cricket practice nets, two shaded playgrounds and tree-shaded student breakout areas.
A dental therapy centre has been built on-site to offer students the best care and support when it comes to their dental health.
The school welcomed 250 students from kindergarten to Year 6 at the beginning of the 2022 school year, with enrolments expected to increase in line with the population of the rapidly growing suburb of Treeby.
