10 students from nine different schools will share in memorable history lessons as part of the 2022 Premier's Anzac Student Tour.

The group will depart for Albany on April 16 and return from Darwin on April 26 in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin. They will be accompanied by three teachers.

Students will embark on a unique experience as they investigate the Anzac legacy in the context of nation building between the wars and explore defence of the home front during World War II.

The Premier's Anzac Student Tour is an annual competition open to all Western Australian students in Years 8 to 11 who are selected following a written submission and interviews.

Next year brings the number of students who have travelled on the tour to 226.
