Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has today announced an exciting milestone for a major construction project at Duncraig Senior High School.
WITH Architecture Studio Pty Ltd has been appointed to lead the design of the $32.3 million redevelopment that includes refurbishments to existing areas as well as brand new teaching facilities.
The project will see construction of a state-of-the-art science classroom block, a dedicated English classroom block and an addition to the existing administration building.
The multimillion-dollar redevelopment includes major refurbishments to specialist classrooms. The existing science block will be converted into modern IT laboratories, engineering and STEM classrooms.
Other existing classroom spaces will also make way for a domestic food studio, inclusive education room, specialist media, visual arts and music classrooms along with staff study areas and updated general classrooms.
Additional parking for staff, visitors and parents will also be included in this major project.
With the project in the early design phase, construction is expected to start in 2023 for completion within the 2024 school year.
