    • The $17 million Pine View Primary School officially opened
    • State-of-the-art facilities include a specialised art/science room, modern technology, and extensive sporting areas
    • The school will grow to accommodate 430 students from Kindergarten to Year 6

Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today officially opened the $17 million Pine View Primary School, which has welcomed more than 100 students into its new classrooms.

The school is the 32nd to be opened or announced by the McGowan Government and will become a community hub for the fast growing Baldivis area.

The McGowan Government has invested more than $1.5 billion into making public school infrastructure better across the State. The ambitious program not only provides state-of-the-art learning facilities for WA kids but also creates thousands of jobs for local workers during construction.

Among Pine View Primary School's first-class teaching facilities are four modern teaching blocks, a specialised art/science room, an inclusive education room and an early childhood education block. A fully equipped canteen, sports store, music room, grassed play areas, an oval, playing courts and a cricket pitch complete the new facilities.

Local families played a key role in shaping the school's vision, which has a commitment to developing and nurturing students in an inclusive environment.

Pine View Primary School will provide students the opportunity to learn the Australian sign language, Auslan.

The $2.5 million Pine View Education Support Centre, designed by Oldfield Knott Architects, is under construction and is due to open in 2022.

The additional facility at Pine View Primary School will provide specialist education for students with disability.
