- Free online job matching platform for Job Ready program graduates introduced
- Job Ready brickies, aspiring tradies and disability workers now eligible
- McGowan Government focused on helping workers connect with WA employers
The McGowan Government today launched a free online platform to connect Job Ready workers with the growing list of job opportunities available with Western Australian employers.
Job Ready Connect is exclusively available to Job Ready program graduates and participating WA employers.
This will help graduates through the creation of an online profile highlighting their skills, experience, qualifications and accreditations without the need for a resume.
By registering on Job Ready Connect, employers can easily and securely search for and connect with candidates who have the skills and experience they require.
Job Ready courses were introduced by the McGowan Government as part of a suite of training initiatives designed to support stimulus measures and WA's economic recovery following COVID-19.
The courses are designed to provide participants with the entry level skills and the industry experience employers are looking for in areas experiencing a high workforce demand.
With Job Ready courses currently offered in Ageing and Disability, Bricklaying, and Civil Construction (Infrastructure), the graduates of these courses will be the first users of the platform.
Employers in these sectors are encouraged to register their details to start connecting with Job Ready candidates who are motivated to gain work and further skills in these areas.
Eligible users can access the platform from the Jobs and Skills WA website https://www.jobsandskills.wa.gov.au/jobreadyconnect
