- State Government seeks residential aged care developer in prime catchment area
- Registrations of interest sought for former Heidelberg Park site
- New development will increase aged care facilities in the Hills area
- Development will create new local jobs for WA economy and enable more local residents to age in their community
The McGowan Government is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified developers for a new aged care development in the Perth Hills.
Located 20 kilometres east of Perth, and with dual road frontage, the 10-hectare Canning Road site was made available by the City of Kalamunda to provide more aged care accommodation for the local community.
Interested parties are asked to submit a development vision for the site that responds to the adjacent natural parklands, outlining their proposed number of beds, associated amenities and services for residents.
The new development will increase aged care facilities in the Perth Hills and ensure more local residents have the option to remain in their local community in the later stages of life.
This site is the latest of more than 50 new aged care development opportunities that have been progressed through land transfers, rezonings, development approvals and land projects, with potential to deliver almost 2,000 new aged care beds across the State.
Expressions of interest are open until 2pm (WST) on June 30, 2021. For more information about the land release, visit https://www.dplh.wa.gov.au
