- Board members advise Minister on policy relating to pastoral industry

The PLB advises the Minister for Lands on policy relating to the pastoral industry, including the McGowan Government's current Pastoral Lands Reform process.
It also administers the State's 490 pastoral leases to ensure they are managed in an ecologically sustainable way.
The two new pastoral interest members will be appointed for a period of up to three years. Suitably qualified people who hold or have held an interest in a pastoral lease, or are or have been shareholders in a company with a beneficial interest in a pastoral lease are encouraged to apply.
