    Partnership support for vibrant regional initiatives

    • Horizon Power commits $1 million in 2020-21 via Community Partnerships Program
    • 48 regional community organisations to benefit from funding of up to $50,000 

    The State Government, through Horizon Power's Community Partnerships Program 2020-21, has awarded funding to a further 48 community organisations to support arts, sport, health and education initiatives throughout regional Western Australia.


    Successful applicants include the Kununurra Community Kitchen Garden, Pilbara Community Legal Service and Broome Bird Observatory.


    A number of shire festivals are also being supported in the Gascoyne/Midwest, West Kimberley and Goldfields/Esperance regions.


    Other successful applicants include the Ngaarda Media Aboriginal Corporation for a field broadcast vehicle and the East Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Kimberley Economic forum.


    In October 2020, $699,500 was awarded in the first funding round and $354,412 was awarded in this second round of funding.


    Next year's Community Partnership Program 2021-22 will open for applications in July 2021. For more information, visit http://www.horizonpower.com.au/community
