    The Kings Park and Botanic Garden Management Plan 2021-2026, which guides the management of the park over the next five years, has been released by the McGowan Government.

    Developed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority in consultation with stakeholders and the community, the plan focuses on five key management areas:

    • community engagement and participation;
    • visitor experiences;
    • science and environmental conservation;
    • plant collections and displays; and
    • amenity and infrastructure.

    Kings Park and Botanic Garden is one of the world's most beautiful inner-city parks and attracts about five million visitors each year.

    As well as spectacular views of Perth and the Swan River, the park provides diverse opportunities for recreation, tourism, and cultural and ceremonial events.

    Its expansive landscaped gardens, rich Aboriginal cultural heritage, significant memorials and natural bushland spaces have created an iconic, world-class park highly valued by the people of Western Australia.

    Kings Park is also home to the Western Australian Botanic Garden, a significant botanical resource for scientific and horticultural research, education and it plays a key role in the conservation of WA's unique flora.
