    Woodlands Cultural, Community and Visitor Centre open for business

    • ​Norseman's Woodlands Cultural, Community and Visitor Centre opened today
    • New Woodlands Centre showcases the region's remarkable natural and cultural assets
    • Supported by $1.6 million McGowan Government investment

    The Woodlands Cultural, Community and Visitor Centre in Norseman was officially opened at a community event today attended by Kalgoorlie MLA-elect Ali Kent.


    The Woodlands Centre boasts an interpretive visitor centre and is centrally located on the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway.


    It offers a new tourism experience for the region, which showcases the natural assets of the Great Western Woodlands and the local Ngadju culture.


    It aims to entice travellers to stop and stay longer in Norseman and explore the surrounding area.


    The McGowan Government invested $1.6 million into the project, alongside contributions from Lotterywest and the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund.
