- Architects appointed to design new classrooms at Malvern Springs Primary School in Ellenbrook
- The new facilities will be built at a cost of $2.5 million and will cater for 128 students
- Construction is expected to start in February 2021
Architecture firm Carabiner has been selected to design a new teaching block at Malvern Springs Primary School.
The $2.5 million building will include four contemporary classrooms which will provide outstanding learning spaces for students.
With the project now in the design stage, construction is expected to start in February 2021 with completion expected in early 2022.
Malvern Springs Primary School caters to a multicultural local community, with more than a quarter of students coming from families where English is not their first language.
Growing rapidly from fewer than 300 students when it first opened in 2012, Malvern Springs Primary School currently provides education to 845 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
This project will create nine new jobs and is part of the McGowan Government's unprecedented Major School Upgrade package - totalling $492.2 million.
