    • Expressions of interest opened for construction of the $16 million Kal City Centre Project
    • Project to transform Kalgoorlie's city centre, backed by an $8 million McGowan Government contribution and matching funding from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
    • Construction to maximise Aboriginal employment opportunities

Expressions of interest have opened for construction of the Kal City Centre Project, a $16 million investment to overhaul Kalgoorlie's city centre.

The project will transform three precincts within the Kalgoorlie city centre incorporating activity and event spaces, alfresco dining, a junior play space, and a new urban plaza. The project will create an inviting city centre for residents and visitors to enjoy.

By conducting an expression of interest process for the construction components of the project, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will be able to maximise local and Aboriginal business participation through facilitated procurement workshops with interested lead construction contractors.

Interested contractors will be invited to attend a site inspection in mid-September which will include a networking evening with local businesses interested in sub-contracting for the project.

Expressions of interest close at 2pm on October 5, 2020. Interested parties can download the EOI documentation from http://www.Tenderlink.com.ckb. Local sub-contractors interested in working on the Kal City Centre Project can register now at https://kalcitycentre.com.au/make-it-happen
