Students at Wanneroo Secondary College are set to benefit from new and upgraded sports facilities, with Premier Mark McGowan turning the first sod on the $5 million project this morning.
A key McGowan Government election commitment, the upgrades include a new sports hall and improvements to the college's four existing tennis courts.
The construction contract has been awarded to Western Australian company Crothers Construction, supporting local jobs.
The upgrades are expected to be completed by December 2020.
The McGowan Government continues to invest in Western Australian public schools, with a total of $452.8 million allocated for improvements and developments over 2019-20.
