Perth's biggest multicultural spring festival will return on Sunday, October 27, offering a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Presented by So Change Inc, the fifth annual LiveLighter Basant Festival is expected to attract up to 30,000 people to Langley Park for the traditional Punjabi spring celebration.

The family friendly day features a number of multicultural performances and activities, kids rides, arts and crafts, kite-making and kite-flying classes, fireworks, and more than 100 food and market stalls.

Entry is free and donations raised will go to the Feeding Australia charity, a volunteer-based social initiative to provide meals to those experiencing homelessness in Western Australia.

The McGowan Government is supporting the festival with funding of $55,000 through the Office of Multicultural Interests, Healthway and Lotterywest.
