- Kris Starcevich appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC)
Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan has welcomed the appointment of Kris Starcevich as Chief Executive Officer of the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission.
Mr Starcevich has acted in the role since May 2018, helping to drive the McGowan Government's economic development and jobs agenda in the Goldfields-Esperance region.
A local to the region, Mr Starcevich has previously worked in the mining sector and has been employed at the GEDC since 2014.
He has been appointed for a five-year term.
The GEDC is overseeing job-creating State Government initiatives in the Goldfields and Esperance areas, including the Kalgoorlie City Centre upgrades, Norseman Visitor Centre project, Goldfields-Esperance Arts and Culture Trail, Goldfields Aboriginal Business Leadership program, Regional Economic Development grants and local content programs.
