    Premier Mark McGowan was in Coolgardie today announcing a $15,000 Lotterywest grant to support the 2019 Coolgardie Day celebrations.


    Visitors and the local community are set to enjoy performances and activities celebrating Coolgardie's history and culture.


    The event will showcase a range of activities, including free entertainment, food and market stalls along with a street parade.


    For more than 25 years, the annual event has celebrated Coolgardie's history which includes the discovery of gold in 1892 that prompted many to descend on the town.


    Coolgardie Day will run from 8am to 5pm on Sunday week (September 15).


    The Premier and the McGowan Government Cabinet are in the Goldfields today and tomorrow for a Community Cabinet meeting.
