    WA hosts Chinese language teachers from across Australia

    • McGowan Government supports 25th Chinese Language Teachers' Federation of Australia National Conference 

    The Chinese Language Teachers' Federation of Australia will hold their 25th national conference at The University of Western Australia from July 12-13, 2019.


    Hosted by the Chinese Language Teachers' Association of Western Australia, the conference brings together leading Chinese language academics, researchers and professionals with Chinese language teachers from community language schools and government, independent and Catholic day schools.


    More than 150 delegates from Perth, regional WA, interstate and overseas will have the opportunity to build their knowledge in all aspects of Chinese language acquisition and teaching methodology.  


    The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Zhao Yang, Dean, School of Chinese as a Second Language, Beijing University.


    The conference has been supported by the McGowan Government with $5,000 through the Office of Multicultural Interests' Community Grants Program.
