Comments attributed to Innovation and ICT Minister Dave Kelly:

"Supporting start-ups, emerging businesses and small enterprises to scale up or become investor ready is important for the growth of our economy and creating WA jobs.

"This new pilot program will give small businesses in areas such as space, fintech and agritech the skills and tools required to take their businesses to the next level.

"This unique program is securing jobs for Western Australians through businesses gaining the know-how to scale up and expand, to attract further investment and create jobs.

"The program also looks to drive investor confidence by showcasing the opportunities that WA innovation and start-up companies can return on an investment, through pitch events and introducing investors to investment ready projects.

"This will ensure investors see that start-up companies have the initiative and drive to grow the Western Australian economy which will lead to more jobs."
