Western Australians are invited to immerse themselves in a new virtual reality festival taking place later this year, as part of the Revelation Perth International Film Festival.
Titled XR:WA, the festival will present public and industry events that explore virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, computer animations and other forms of screen-based and immersive media.
XR:WA will provide an opportunity for participants to witness the latest innovative technologies, hear from the makers, and have their very own immersive experience such as through a virtual reality headset.
The industry component of the festival program will attract a broad range of local and international delegates to explore new ideas and experience local content from Western Australia's growing immersive and interactive media sector.
XR:WA will take place from July 6 to 14, 2019 at venues across Perth and Fremantle.
