- Andy Munro appointed Gascoyne Development Commission board chairperson
- Appointment to support sustainable economic development in the region
Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan today announced the appointment of Andy Munro as chairperson of the Gascoyne Development Commission board.
Mr Munro brings to the role strong regional development and project experience across both the Western Australian government and corporate sectors.
This is backed by many years of departmental and Ministerial appointments, along with senior executive experience at Rio Tinto.
He was a GDC Board member between December 2002 and February 2004.
Andy replaces outgoing Chairperson Tom Stephens, who took up the interim appointment in September 2017.
Exmouth business woman Sonia Beckwith, Gascoyne Junction pastoralist Alys McKeough and Carnarvon horticulturalist Paul Shain have recently been appointed to the board.
