- Rebecca Brown appointed Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
Acting Premier Roger Cook has today welcomed the appointment of Rebecca Brown as the new Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI).
Ms Brown was appointed after a formal process run by the Public Sector Commission and will commence in the role on September 3, 2018.
Most recently, she served as Department of Health Deputy Director General where she oversaw transformational change to deliver better outcomes for the community.
She has served as Deputy Director General in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and has held numerous senior roles within the State Government.
Ms Brown will be responsible for attracting investment to WA, and overseeing the State Government's agenda to diversify the economy and create jobs for Western Australians.
An announcement regarding the new Managing Director of Tourism will be made in coming weeks.
