Comments attributed to Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray:

"I urge all eligible sport and recreation organisations to nominate for these awards, and showcase the quality of work being done here in Western Australia.

"This is a chance to honour the people behind the programs who do outstanding work, and don't often get the chance to stand up and take a bow.

"The awards recognise the people working to make sport and recreation better in our communities, acknowledging those who are leaders in their fields, from volunteering to events to planning and design."
