- Worker fatality at Water Corporation site in Munster
- WorkSafe is investigating the incident
The State Government has been advised that a man has died today at the Water Corporation's Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Munster.
WorkSafe inspectors travelled to the site today to investigate and interview witnesses.
WorkSafe thoroughly investigates serious work-related injuries and deaths in Western Australia with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.
Comments attributed to Commerce and Industrial Relations Minister Bill Johnston:
"I'm saddened by the news of the fatality this morning and send my condolences to the victim's family and friends.
"The safety of workers is one of the McGowan Government's highest priorities.
"We will investigate this matter further to find out exactly what happened and how it can be prevented in the future."
