    • Mirrabooka Harmony Celebration now in its 10th year
    • Celebration supported by the McGowan Government with $5,000

One of Australia's most culturally diverse local government areas, Mirrabooka, stages a big celebration for Harmony Week every year and the 2018 festival will be even bigger with the popular family event marking its 10th anniversary.

This year's Mirrabooka Harmony Celebration takes place tomorrow (March 16) and features an exciting line-up of cultural performances, school performances, cultural activities, and food and information stalls.

The event is co-ordinated by the Edmund Rice Centre together with local businesses and service providers, with the aim of promoting the diversity of the Mirrabooka area and strengthening the relationship with the communities and organisations involved.

The McGowan Government is proud to support the Mirrabooka Harmony Celebration with $5,000 via the Office of Multicultural Interests' Community Grants Program.

The Mirrabooka Harmony Celebration is one of the many events happening around the State to mark Harmony Week, an initiative of the State Government. Harmony Week gives everyone an opportunity to explore and appreciate Western Australia's wealth of cultural, faith, linguistic and ethnic diversity.

Harmony Week runs from March 15 to 21 every year.
