Comments attributed to Emergency Services Minister Fran Logan:

"This is an invite-only summit that will include experts in their field who, across a full day, will have wide-ranging discussions on such topics as prescribed burning, bushfire management and updates on the Ferguson report.

"Many of those attending have spent years working or volunteering in the area of bushfire management.

"As such, the agenda will be a guide to help those who already have a full understanding of what they see are the ways forward for improving the State's bushfire mitigation strategies.

"As virtually every Western Australian appreciates, it is a highly complex task to mitigate the risk of bushfires across a State as diverse as ours.

"I am looking forward to being in that room and hearing from everyone about how the State can further improve bushfire mitigation strategies."
