- Western Australian Industry and Export Awards 2017 now open
- Awards recognise exporters' contribution to economy, with new category for defence industry
- State winners automatically qualify for prestigious National Export Awards on December 5
Applications are now open for the Western Australian Industry and Export Awards 2017 with a new category highlighting the expertise of the State's defence industry.
In its 29th year, the Industry and Export Awards recognise the achievements of WA's industry and exporters across a diverse market sector.
The awards celebrate the significant contribution the local industry makes in the world market.
There are 12 national export categories and six additional awards specific to WA, including:
- Women in International Business;
- WA Emerging Exporter;
- CY O'Connor Excellence in Engineering;
- Marketing and Design Excellence;
- Innovation Excellence; and
- Defence Exporter.
Proteomics International Laboratories, a Nedlands-based biotech company, won the WA Exporter of the Year award last year, along with the Health and Biotechnology award.
