    • 10 students selected for the 2017 Premier's ANZAC Student Tour leave for Singapore today
    • The group will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore

Premier Mark McGowan and Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery wished students well today as they flew to Singapore to take part in a historic tour.

In its 14th year, the Premier's ANZAC Student Tour will commemorate the 1942 surrender of the Allied forces in Singapore, one of the worst defeats in World War II history.

The tour enables students to take their learning out of the classroom. They will visit important historic sites and gain an insight into Australia's involvement in the region during the war.

Students will attend the dawn ANZAC service at Kranji War Memorial.
