More than 4,000 second round offers of a place in TAFE will be issued today to prospective students.
Training Minister Kay Hallahan said about half of the offers were to school-leavers and the remainder were for mature age students.
The Minister said 60 per cent of people offered a TAFE place in the first round had accepted.
"There is no doubt that the Lawrence Government's guarantee of an education or training place for every 1992 Year 12 school-leaver will be honoured," she said.
"Those who miss out on a TAFE place will be offered opportunities in other forms of education or training."
Mrs Hallahan said the Lawrence Government was committed to providing an additional 30,000 TAFE places over the next four years, with 4,000 of the extra places offered in the middle of this year.
