More than 9,000 offers of a full-time place in TAFE will be mailed to prospective students today.
Education Minister Kay Hallahan today said half of the first round offers - which would reach most people tomorrow - were for 1992 school-leavers.
Mrs Hallahan urged people to act quickly on their offers.
"TAFE is becoming a popular choice for people wanting skills which will lead to real jobs," she said.
"Young people realise that the more skills they have, the better their employment prospects. Jobs for unskilled school-leavers are fast disappearing."
Enrolments for courses at TAFE's 35 campuses and centres statewide would be accepted from tomorrow.
Mrs Hallahan said further offers would be made to school-leavers in the second round as part of the Government's commitment to provide an education or training place to all 1992, Year 12 school-leavers.
Young people wanting more information were urged to call 325 9322 (metro) or 008 999 167 (country toll free).
