Kalgoorlie residents will have easy access to information and help on industrial matters as from Monday.
The Department of Productivity and Labour Relations' information centre will be open at 377 Hannan Street between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Productivity and Labour Relations Minister Yvonne Henderson today announced the re-opening of the information centre which was closed earlier this year.
"We realise there is a strong demand for information about industrial matters now that workers' pay and conditions are dominating public debate," Mrs Henderson said.
"We want to make it easier for Kalgoorlie people to access this sort of information, without having to ring around various Government departments in Perth.
"They can now easily get information about awards, enterprise bargaining agreements, superannuation, industrial legislation and health, safety and welfare laws."
The centre will be staffed by Mr Terry Horne, who previously worked in the Department's Bunbury office.
