Attorney General Joe Berinson has announced the appointment of a new magistrate.
He is Mr Robert Maurice McMahon Glynn (51), currently practising with the Geraldton law firm, Glynn and Gray.
Mr Berinson said Mr Glynn would take up the position on August 3, and would replace Magistrate Michael Stapp, who has retired.
He said Mr Glynn had practiced in Geraldton since 1970, and had extensive experience in local court, petty sessions, children's court, coroner's court, mining warden, family court, district court and supreme court jurisdictions.
