Whether you are planning to drive around our great State, or you need specific directions about country towns, the State Government has a newly released Western Australia and the South West map to guide you in the right direction.

Land Information Minister John Bowler said the latest release in the Department of Land Information’s StreetSmart Touring Map series was user-friendly, offering extensive coverage.

“The new Western Australia and the South West map has been fully revised and for the first time, this edition features road distances,” Mr Bowler said.

“Not only does the map comprise a huge area, it also offers lots of little historical snippets as well as information about many of the country towns,” he said.

“For example, there is information about what to expect at the Great Australian Bight, the Nullarbor Plain, Shark Bay and there is also brief details about holiday spots such as whale watching in Kalbarri, fishing in Lancelin and visiting the relatively new Dolphin Discovery Centre in Bunbury.”

Reflecting the look and feel of the StreetSmart series, the Western Australia and the South West map also features population information, local government authorities, pastoral lease boundaries, station names and major routes.

Mr Bowler said the new map, which was produced by the Department of Land Information, was the ideal tool to ensure a stress-free journey for both locals and tourists.

This map and others in the StreetSmart Touring Map series are available from DLI, selected newsagents, bookshops and visitors’ centres.
