A contract has been awarded for road reconstruction and intersection improvements on Lancelin Road between Ledge Point and Lancelin.
Planning and Infrastructure Minister Alannah MacTiernan today announced that Advanteering Civil Engineers has been awarded the contract to undertake the improvements at a cost of $680,000.
Work is scheduled to commence in late October 2005 with the completion expected prior to December 2005, and will be managed by Main Roads Western Australia, Wheatbelt North Region.
“The works will involve reconstruction of approximately 740m of Lancelin Road including the provision of right and left turn pockets and realignment of intersection approach of KW Road,” Ms MacTiernan said.
“The works will improve the overall road safety and increase the serviceability of Lancelin Road as well as improving traffic flows at the intersection.”
