Travelling from the Pinnacles to Esperance using a single map is now possible with the latest addition to the Department of Land Information’s StreetSmart map series.

The new Perth and South-West map doubles as an invaluable guide for tourists visiting WA, and a practical and handy reference tool for local business people.

Land Information Minister John Bowler said the new map did not only provide extensive coverage of the Perth metropolitan area.

“It comprehensively charts north to Jindalee and Butler, and south of Mandurah to Bouvard,” Mr Bowler said.

“On the opposing side of the map, enlarged directories to the Perth and Fremantle CBDs, Rottnest Island and the South-West region are provided.”

With Perth and the South-West being the two areas that attract the highest number of visitors to WA, the map also includes the most up-to-date guide to Perth’s rail and ferry system.

“The new Perth-to-Mandurah rail line is featured, together with other metropolitan rail lines, and the ferry terminals for Rottnest,” the Minister said.

An index to Perth hotels and accommodation is also listed, together with short pieces of information on the CBD, South-West and Rottnest.

The recommended retail price for the map is $7.95 and, like others in the StreetSmart Touring Map series, can be purchased from the Department of Land Information at http://www.dli.wa.gov.au or from selected newsagents, bookshops, and visitors' centres.
