Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, the Mid-West and Wheatbelt, Mr Tony McRae, will visit Carnarvon tomorrow for briefings on natural resource management and agricultural issues.
Mr McRae will receive an overview of the Rangelands Natural Resource Management (NRM) strategy and will discuss key landcare strategies.
He will also visit the multi-agency NRM Centre and will be briefed on other issues including the Carnarvon 2020 initiatives, which will see new horticultural precincts developed.
Mr McRae will also visit the Carnarvon Artesian Basin rehabilitation program and discuss possible uses of the water such as developing irrigated pastures.
The Gallop Government is ensuring regional Western Australia receives its fair share.
