Health Minister Jim McGinty said the State Government was analysing the true cost of today’s announcement by the Liberal Party and the Australian Nursing Federation.
Mr McGinty said that since 2001, the Gallop Government had employed an extra 1,200 nurses in the public hospital system.
“We want to continue employing more nurses and improve the salaries and working conditions of nurses in the public hospital system,” he said.
