The State Government is to help members of the Eastern Country Ladies Bowling Zone travel to regional competitions.
The zone covers the Wheatbelt and the Goldfields.
Sport and Recreation Minister Norman Moore said the $1,000 grant from the Sports Lottery Fund Country Package would help 17 ladies participate in the Inter Zone Fours Round Robin.
The event was planned for February 17 and 18.
“I am pleased that these ladies will have the chance to compete in the Inter Zone Fours,” the Minister said.
The State Government knows how important sport is in country areas.
“It is through State Government initiatives like this that people living in regional areas are given every opportunity to participate.”
