East Fremantle Primary School’s grassed play areas will be reticulated.
Education Minister Colin Barnett said today $60,000 would be spent on a bore and automatic reticulation for the school.
He said at present the play areas were watered from several domestic sprinklers.
The water was taken from the mains supply and the water pressure was extremely weak.
Mr Barnett said because these play areas were used intensively by more than 330 students and were subject to a great deal of wear and tear it was important they were properly looked after.
He said the reticulation system would be installed this financial year.
