Ministry of Fair Trading (MFT) staff will be at the Mandurah Forum Shopping Centre from Thursday, November 16, to Saturday, November 18, to give advice and information on fair trading matters.

The three-person team includes a finance industry specialist to answer queries on finance broking and mortgage investments.

Fair Trading Minister Doug Shave said local MPs Arthur Marshall and Roger Nicholls had strongly supported the visit, which follows a similar visit in mid-October.

“Mr Marshall and Mr Nicholls are very aware of the problems of pooled mortgage investors in the Mandurah region,” Mr Shave said.

“They strongly recommended to me to have a second MFT visit to Mandurah to make it as easy as possible for investors to have access to information.

“Regional visits like this give people the opportunity to seek information and advice in person.”

The information team, located conveniently in the shopping centre, will have a range of free informative material on hand and be able to give personal one-on-one advice.

Information available covers a wide range of topics, from car repairs and car buying tips, tenancy, building and computers, to scams and general information.

The MFT team will be at the shopping centre from 9am-9pm on Thursday, November 16, from 9am-5pm on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18.

Anyone not able to attend the three-day display can obtain information from the Fair Trading web-site at or, for the cost of a local call from anywhere in the State, from the Ministry’s Call Centre on 1300 30 40 54.
