Ministry of Fair Trading officers are in Albany to provide advice and assistance on fair trading matters.
The team is in Albany from today until Saturday. It will be at the Coles Plaza Shopping Centre until 9 pm today, 9am-5pm on Friday, October 20 and on Saturday, October 21 from 9am-5pm.
The team includes a retail and services specialist and a finance industry specialist who will be able to answer queries on finance broking and mortgage investments.
Fair Trading Minister Doug Shave said regional visits by Fair Trading staff were aimed at enabling people to seek information and advice in person.
“The information team is located conveniently in the shopping centre,” Mr Shave said.
“It has a range of information and can provide one-to-one advice.”
Popular subjects range from car repairs and car buying tips, tenancy, building and computer advice through to scams and general fair trading issues.
For those unable to attend the three day display Fair Trading provides information via its website at http://www.fairtrading.wa.gov.au/ or, for the cost of a local call anywhere in the State, advice is available through the Ministry’s Call Centre on 1300 30 40 54.
